American Ninja Warrior, Lance Pekus, Visits Nashville for Music City Fit Expo

| July 16, 2019

This Saturday, July 20th, the Cowboy Ninja, Lance Pekus from NBC’s show American Ninja Warrior, will be in town for the 3rd annual Music City Fit Expo taking place at the Vanderbilt Recreation & Wellness Center from 8am-5pm.

The Tennessee Beef Industry Council will be hosting Pekus at their booth on Saturday and putting people through the “Farm to Gym” workout challenge with the Cowboy Ninja. Expo attendees can come by the Beef Council booth for a satisfying snack of Beef Jerky Trail Mix, to fuel up after a workout or energize them for the 100+ vendors. Autographed postcards of the Cowboy Ninja will also be available to the first 50 visitors on Saturday.

Pekus got the nickname “Cowboy Ninja” for good reason. As a rancher from Salmon, Idaho, Pekus works on a 300-pair cow-calf operation with his father-in-law, with the support of his wife and two children. With seven seasons of competing on ANW currently under his belt, the Cowboy Ninja has returned again this year for season 11 of the popular TV show, currently airing on NBC.

Pekus uses equipment found on his ranch to help train for American Ninja Warrior and to stay in shape throughout the year. He says, “working on the ranch helps me with my physical and mental strength, especially at difficult times on the course where you have to push through, and training for American Ninja Warrior helps me stay active and agile in many different ways that keep me from getting injured on the ranch”.
