In the spirit of the holiday season, the Tennessee Beef Industry Council is hosting two cooking classes centered around “Holiday Entertaining with Beef”. The classes will take place on December 5th and December 6th and attendees will learn beef cooking tips as well as having a chance to get hands-on with the recipes. Not only will those who attend the class enjoy delicious food, they'll also go home with goodies to help with the holiday cooking this year!

“Beef is often thought of as the ‘center-of-the-plate’ item—steaks, roasts, filets—but there are so many other ways beef can make a memorable appearance on the table”, says Valerie Bass, Executive Director of the Tennessee Beef Industry Council. “During this time of year, we love sharing easy recipes that are perfect for entertaining a crowd. That’s why we decided to offer a hands-on cooking class this year to teach people simple recipes and tricks for enjoying beef at home.”

For those not able to join the cooking classes, they can still access hundreds of delicious recipes that will inspire on BeefItsWhatsForDinner.com. Festive appetizers like Mini Merry Meatballs and Bruschetta with Roasted Garlic-Feta Spread will bring joy to fellow party attendees this season. For a show-stopping main dish, serve a beef dish such as Classic Beef Wellington or Dijon & Herb Rubbed Beef Roast. To make the most of seasonal flavors, try this Tenderloin, Cranberry & Pear Salad, which works great as a starter to a holiday meal or as dinner any day of the week!

“Beef supplies 10 essential vitamins and minerals, including protein, zinc, iron, and B vitamins. But the best part is it tastes great!”, says Registered Dietitian, Karman Meyer with the Tennessee Beef Industry Council.   For more information about the Holiday Entertaining with Beef cooking classes or to purchase tickets, visit the event page. Warm wishes this holiday season from the Tennessee Beef Industry Council!
